January 30th

Tonight I went to a UGA women's basketball game and decided to document the occasion with my picture for January 30th!  I do this thing called Commit to the G where I get points for going to UGA sporting events and then when I get enough points, I get UGA spirit wear for free!!!  So I've been going to a lot of games lately, needless to say :)  Go dawgs!!

January 29th

Day 2 of snow in Athens!!!  It's pretty much melted away at this point, but we got out of going to classes today, and tomorrow classes don't start until 11AM so I only have one class tomorrow, and I get to miss a quiz for my 9:30 class :)  I feel horrible for all of those people that have been stuck out on the roads because of this snow, but here in Athens where I don't have anywhere to be, it's pretty great!  This is a snowman (clearly) that I built with my friends Hannah and Diana!  It's name is Russell (after the building that I live in... you can see it behind the snowman.).  Also, notice the little snow cat right next to it, courtesy of my roommate Alyssa!  Haha she built it the other day and left it outside, so we moved it to be next to Russell the Snowman!  

January 28th

IT'S SNOWING IN ATHENS!!!  Although there's not enough snow on the ground yet to actually play in it, it's very fun to look at and take pictures in!  So yay for snow!

January 27th

Today is a pretty special day here at UGA because it's Founder's Week, and today is UGA's 229th birthday!  So all of the buses say "Happy Birthday UGA" on them, as this picture shows.  It's not like there's a whole lost of festivities, although there are some, but it's just kind of neat to see what they do come up with to celebrate today!  Happy birthday UGA!!!!!

Another lame picture, but again, I forgot to take one until late at night so this was basically my only option.  By the end of the year, anyone reading this blog will be very familiar with my room ;-)

January 25th

I actually have a good picture today!!!  Earlier this morning I went to my first ever UGA swim meet.  Aside from going to the meet and getting points for Commit to the G (where I get free UGA wear for going to sporting events), I also got yet another free t-shirt, so my day has been pretty productive so far! :-)

January 24th

I am SO sorry about this lame picture!  I guarantee I really do fun stuff here, but it's just so hard to remember to take a picture!  This one was taken at 10 last night and I literally just took a picture of the first thing I found.  Sorry!

January 23rd

Ok so this is kind of a crazy picture, but I like it because it tells what I did today.  This is me with three of my friends on a bus ride back from the Niche, the best dining hall at UGA!  It's a restaurant style dining hall only open for breakfast and lunch, and it's off campus about a 15 minute bus ride, but the food is so good it's well worth it.  Obviously I'm the one on the bottom left, Hannah is next to me barely in the picture, my roommate Alyssa is above Hannah on the right, and my friend Cayden is next to her.

January 22nd

I'm so sorry yet again.  Although I think this one may be a bit better than yesterday's atrocity, I know that it's not very good :(  It's a shame too because there are so many neat things that I could take pictures of here in Athens, but quite frankly, I can just never remember to take a picture when I'm actually doing something picture worthy.  Even so, this is a pretty good depiction of my everyday life... the hallway outside my dorm room.  Needless to say, I've made many a trek up and down this hallway in the past several months that I've lived here.

January 21st

Ok so this picture gets the award for the worst possible picture in Project 365 history.  Some days I have good ones, and other days will inevitably be bad, so I apologize for this one and any future pictures that absolutely stink.  I will try to do better tomorrow!

To commemorate my last day at home until possibly spring break, I took a picture of our kitchen table!  Not very exciting, but a pretty good picture if I do say so myself (:

January 19th

Sorry I've gotten a little bit behind on my picture posting, but that doesn't mean I haven't been taking one each day!  This is a picture of my biology lab notebook.  Since I couldn't figure out how to do my homework in it, I had to ask my 16 year old brother for help.  He's really good at science and I'm really not, so it works out pretty well!  Thanks for the help Jus!

I love lighting candles, especially in the winter, but unfortunately (but for good reason) I'm not allowed to have candles in my dorm room.  That being said, whenever I come home, I'm constantly lighting candles around the house!  This one is tangerine and grapefruit scented... yum!!

Funny story about this picture.  I was at a UGA women's basketball game today and intended to take a picture of that, but my phone was dying and it wouldn't let me take a picture.  So I had to come back to my room and take this lame picture of my closet.  I really will try to take better pictures because I want this project to be a sort of narration about my life, but some days that clearly just doesn't happen.

January 15th

This is a picture of the Biological Sciences Building here at UGA.  It's been fun starting a new semester because in college, that also means starting new classes.  And starting new classes means that I have to go to new buildings.  Although the first week or so can be a little stressful trying to find them and get to them on time, once you figure it out, it's pretty fun being able to explore different parts of the campus.  I took this picture on my way back from my biology lab.  If you know me, you know that sciences in general are not my strongest point, but we'll see how this semester goes with my biology class and the lab.  Wish me luck!

Today since it was raining, I got to wear my rain boots and rain coat!  I got the rain boots last year sometime (thanks, Grandma!) and my rain coat this past Christmas (thanks, Mom!).

This picture seemed fitting to me for today because it's the winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars!  There's in the middle of season 4 right now, and just last semester I started watching season 1, so I've come a long way in order to be caught up!  It starts in just a few minutes so needless to say I'm very excited!

Today I decided to take a picture of my car since I'm leaving in just a few hours to go back to school for the semester.  I'm all packed up and ready to go, and pretty soon my car and I will be leaving to start another great semester at the University of Georgia!

Our Christmas tree is officially gone, hence the empty Christmas tree stand and all of the stray pine needles.  We had a great Christmas this year, but we can't keep the tree up forever, so we finally took it down until next year, when we get another tree (: 

January 3rd

Day 3!  I thought these books would make a fitting picture because every year since I read them for the first time in 2011, I have made it a sort of tradition to re-read them at the beginning of each year.  Needless to say, they're my absolute favorite books, so I always love reading them over again.  And now that the movies are gradually beginning to coming out, I like to remember what happens in the books before I watch the movie.  The next movie is Mockingjay Part 1 and it comes out in November, so I still have a little while, but it's quickly approaching!

January 1st

Happy 2014 everyone!  As you may or may not know, I attempted Project 365 for the first time in 2011, with the goal being to take a picture every single day for a whole entire year.  Unfortunately, in 2011, on December 11th, I forgot to take a picture :-(  One day out of the year I forgot, and it was one of the very last days too.  Needless to say, I was very upset.  Well I'm not one to quit, and since I failed at my goal in 2011, I'm trying again in 2014, hopefully successfully this time!  My first picture of the year is of my grandparents' Christmas village that they have sitting on their mantle.  I'm not promising that most of my pictures are going to be too spectacular, but I am going to complete the project this time!  So here's to a great 2014 with a successful Project 365!
